Phronesis – Associazione Italiana per la Consulenza Filosofica
is a nation-wide association that is involved in all areas of philosophical
practice (or philosophical counseling),
and is designed to bring together interested philosophers from all
over Italy.
The headquarters are in Rome and there are branches in Milan, Florence,
Cagliari, Turin, Venice, Palermo, Neaples, Falconara, Udine, Lecce
where members meet up regularly.
The Association has more than 200 members now. Up to today there are
18 members who regularily
practise philosophical counseling after a
two-jear training. They keep to a definite code
of ethics.
Phronesis undertakes training and research, organizes seminars and conferences and publishes a six-monthly journal dedicated to philosophical practice.
